Commission a bespoke, traditionally hand-painted or gilded sign or a reverse glass artwork for your business, home, event or as a gift.

PROCESS
After you contact me, I will chat with you to find out as much detail about what you require. I’d like to know where the sign or art is for, whether for a home business, event or a gift for a special occasion. Is it for you or someone else? Do you have an existing panel, window or even a box or piece of furniture that you’re looking to re-use or upcycle? I need an idea of the size, your budget and possible deadline. Have you an idea of wording whether that’s an initial, name, word or quote, lettering style and colour prefences. I will guide you through all the options and offer expert advice.
Once I have a clear idea of what you desire and your budget, I will draw a few thumbnail sketch designs with colour to help you decide on your preferred design. When you are happy and we’ve agreed upon a design and the price, I will ask for a deposit of half the final amount and I will go ahead and carefully hand-paint your sign! Assuming you are delighted with the completed design, you will pay the remainder before delivery or upon collection of your artwork.
Please allow plenty of time, my turnaround is between 1-3 weeks depending on the size, detail and any materials I may neeed to order.

The more information the better so try to include things like your location, budget and possible deadlines.
What is the occasion; is it a gift, for a special event, or for home or business? Wil it be interior or exterior or both? Would you like it framed, unframed, with holes for fixing or maybe it will be leaning on a shelf or picture ledge?
Any idea of lettering style (formal/casual/fun/fancy/classic) and would you like decorative elements like scrolls, borders, flowers or other pictorial elements? Consider your colour scheme too and whether you would like gold leaf incorporated into the design.
Maybe you have an inspiring piece of letter art or image or your own logo that you wish to replicate? Anything else you’d like me to know?
Don’t worry if you haven’t a fixed idea, I am here to help and guide you! I will draw up sketch designs showing colour swatches and lettering options to give you a clear visualisation of your perfect sign or artwork.

Commisssion for a birthday gift
The client specified the word CAKE and asked for a colour scheme of pinks and blues. I sketched the design and then showed my client 3 thumbnail sketches of different colour combinations, based on pinks and blues. My client found this really helpful as she was able to immediately pick out her favourite choice. I then carefuly hand painted her sign. After receiving this, the client had the piece framed. This was a birthday gift designed to be put on the wall in the home.
