Bespoke hand-painted name commission to personalise a birthday gift. The client approached me and asked me to paint her grand-daughter’s name onto her art case. This would be gifted on her birthday.
I was very happy to oblige. Although she required a quick turn around and needed it ready in 4 days time!
I asked the client for any colour preference or ideas on the style. The only brief was to use a pink colour scheme and the client left the overall design up to me.
Initial stage of working out the bespoke name design and overall cost
First, I sketched out the name and added the scrolls to frame it. Then, I sent a photo to the client with a quote of the cost to cover the time and materials. Luckily, I was able to fit this job in between another proJect that I was working on. All in all, I spent half a day sketching the design and carefully hand-painting it.
My client loved the sketch and was pleased with the price. So, I went ahead and skillfully hand-painted my design. To complete, I added a drop shadow in violet and some white highlights. This really makes the whole name design ‘pop’!
The finished, bespoke personalised name art case!
My client and the birthday girl were delighted with the result!
